I’m writing today as a constituent to ask you to join the large and growing coalition of leading Chinese freedom-fighters, national security professionals, faith leaders, human rights champions and government officials who are standing against the 2022 “Genocide Games” in Beijing. Please visit GenocideGames.org to read the Open Letter to the USOC Chairman signed by over 100 leaders like yourself. You can email [email protected] to add your support.
It is a moral imperative that the United States and international community prevent the Chinese Communist Party, which should be designated a transnational criminal organization, from being rewarded for its atrocities against millions of Uyghur Muslims and other captive nations of Tibet, East Turkestan, and Southern Mongolia, as well as the CCP’s many other crimes against humanity.
These leaders have asked the USOC to argue for the 2022 Winter Olympics to be moved from China to any other country that honors the spirit of the Olympic Charter, which pledges to “place sport at the service of the harmonious development of humankind, with a view to promoting a peaceful society concerned with the preservation of human dignity.” China’s horrific human rights record – which it stubbornly defends – is a hideous betrayal of the world’s finest athletes, who seek to compete in the noble spirit of the Charter.
Therefore, U.S. and international leaders must act promptly to ensure that next February will see the celebration of the “Freedom Olympics” in a venue outside of China, instead of the “Genocide Games” in Beijing. If the Olympics cannot or will not be moved, they must be boycotted.
